Jharkhand RTE Admission 2025-26: The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, commonly referred to as the Right to Education Act (RTE), establishes education as a fundamental right for every child aged 6 to 14 years. Jharkhand RTE Admission 2025-26 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility under the RTE Act is extended to applicants whose family’s total annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs 72,000. This provision is applicable to the entry level of non-aided private schools (excluding minority institutions) situated within a radius of 1 km, 3 km, and ultimately up to 6 km from the applicant’s home. The age criteria for admission to nursery/LKG range from 3 years and 6 months to 4 years and 6 months, while for class 1, the age must be between 5 years and 6 months and 7 years. The cutoff date for assessing age eligibility is 31st March 2025.
